Jets blow 24-13 Halftime Lead
As I write this, the game is not even over. What I am amazed at is a team that goes into halftime with the commanding 11 point lead has to go to overtime. It leaves me baffled that a coach and quarterback with the experience that Mangini and Favre have get themselves into a predicament such as this. To allow a team that you have down and beaten to outscore you 18-7 in the second half is inexcusable in my book. Win or loss, this might be one of the lowest points for Brett.
It is games like this that bring on the talk of retirement for Brett Favre. I am waiting for him to hold a press conference stating that he is getting to old for this game and it might be time for him to hang up the cleats. We have yet to have that conversation in the regular season in 2008. If I remember correctly, before the start of the season, it was more about how his arm was fatiqued and this might be a mistake.
