New Era Begins At The University of Tennessee
Today, a new era begins inside the University of Tennessee Volunteers sports programs. To be more specific, a new era began today with the Tennessee Vols football program. Lane Kiffin was truly announced today as the new head coach of the program that has seen two losing seasons over the last 5 years. This year, they checked in at 5-7. However, they did win their last game to send Phillip Fulmer out in style.
Lane becomes the 21st head football coach in the history of UT. He brings with him charisma, youth, and a desire to recruit. The biggest issue is his lack of experience as a head coach, but hopefully that will not set him back. The good thing about him being in now is that he can meet with the team and coaches and lock in the ones that need to stick here.
All in All, let’s hope that this new selection will propel Tennessee back into being the powerhouse that it once was.
