Winter Meetings Are Heating Up
The place to be at this time of the year would have to Las Vegas, Nevada if you are a baseball fan. It is definitely the place to be if you are the general manager for any of the Major League Baseball teams. Sin City is not only bubbling with card and slot gamblers with the GMs in town. The fun thing about this is the fact that it is just heating up.
This year’s free agency market is rich with talent. There is every type of position player out there available. If you cannot find just what you are looking for, then I am sure that you can make a deal that will bring you just what you are looking for. Ain’t that just what Sin City is suppose to be all about anyway. I would think that this is the fitting place to hold these meetings.
Jake Peavy, Derek Lowe, CC Sabathia, Manny Ramirez, and Mark Teixeira are all being paraded around like a piece of meat at an auction. These are just a few of the name that are on this years market. Each one will do battle in the 2009 season for the highest bidder. All are looking for the best deal to give them exactly what they want. It will truly be interesting to see where it all ends.
